Summer Reading:
Greetings Parents and Students:
Although summer vacation is just beginning, reading is an integral part of the education process. As we look toward the start of the 2022/2023 school year we need to be thinking about our summer reading and prepare for the upcoming year. Please refer to the following summer reading list students in each grade need to read before starting back to school on Wednesday, August 25th. I will start the year with discussions and activities focused around these novels, so please make sure you are taking the time to read and comprehend the stories.
*Maintaining an active writing journal about what you have read would be a great way to remember key points in the story by the time school starts.
*You may purchase these books or obtain them from your local library. Also, many books are available online. (FYI – if you own an electronic reader or another style of “smart” device, it is possible to borrow electronic versions of books from the public library and have it sent to your device. This can be done through the Kindle app or iBooks.) If you need help, please let me know.
If you have any questions throughout the summer, please let me know.
In our Risen Christ,
Mr. Driscoll
